2126 hrs. In a hotel restaurant. It’s Sunday night. People are very drunk, very loud. I think they might be recovering from the football game that happened down the street from here.

The last several days have been good but grinding. I have been inside a lot of airports and hotels. The instore appearances have been going great. I have been meeting a lot of very cool people. That’s the good part. The lack of sleep makes things challenging but it’s ok. Tomorrow evening, I will be in Berkeley for the second to last of these bookstore appearances.

I have had the chance to check out quite a few of the Occupy sites on this trip. One of the things that I found interesting was at the Occupy Portland site was the lack of police present. It could be that I wasn’t looking in the right places but I walked around and through all the tents and didn’t see any. At other Occupy sites, police were everywhere. Having been to a few of these, I am very interested to see where it will be after the snow melts next year and what will the Occupy issue mean in the presidential election.

Hours ago, I watched Herman Cain interviewed on CNN. He fascinates me. I have never seen someone in such a bright spotlight who is in so over his head. Thankfully, there’s nothing illegal or dangerous about what he’s doing. It is however, a freaky thing to watch. I wonder if he thought he was going to last a few weeks and then all of a sudden he found himself in the situation he’s in and is now going for the improv of his life. He’ll have a great story to tell when this is all behind him. Herman Cain is a great example of Democracy in action. He is a citizen of the United States and he’s running for president. Fair enough.

Here is something I am part of that’s happening this coming Friday:

Here’s something else I am doing on Saturday:

It’s going to be a busy week. Thanks for reading this. Henry
